Resumes throwing
QBCalgary
Probable
May 19, 2020
Mitchell (shoulder) was cleared to resume throwing earlier this month and expects to be ready to play if or when the 2020 CFL season begins, Farhan Lalji of TSN.ca reports.
ANALYSIS
Mitchell was one of the beneficiaries of the CFL's decision to delay the start of its season due to the coronavirus pandemic, as the hiatus has provided him with extra time to heal up from the shoulder procedure he required in January. Had the season taken place as scheduled, Mitchell likely would have been forced to miss at least the first couple games, but the delay should keep him on track to be available. The Calgary signal-caller posted a 19:11 TD:INT and threw for 3,464 yards over 11 games in 2019.
